The artists behind BlackBird Art Co are Michael and Rachael Gagnon. Michael's original foray into the arts was through music. He studied music industry and performance in college as a classically trained vocalist. He entered the concert touring industry when he was 20 and spent the next 17 years traveling the world with some of the biggest names in music. It was there he took up photography to document his travels and this led to many of the artists he worked for hiring him as their personal touring photographer. While much of his work stems from his time on the road his true passion is in capturing the breathtaking natural landscapes our country has to offer.

Rachael grew up in a very artistic family - her Mom an artist and her Dad a musician. Rachael started her own business as a cake decorator in 2009 which then led her to painting and sculpting. Rachael is also an accomplished portrait photographer and singer.
